Sliding doors draw together indoor and outdoor space

Nestled between a lake and forest, we can think of few better examples of how sliding doors can be used to link the indoors with abundant outdoor space than at the Buftea Residence, Romania.

Designed by its owner, architect Razvan Oprescu, the property’s roof seems to float beyond the walls of the building to create semi-covered outdoor spaces. The limestone finish is then used on the façade, interior, and exterior floors, to tie external and internal spaces into one sumptuous whole.
