If your ideal holiday is to stay in a remarkable piece of architecture, then look no further than Suffolk’s Balancing Barn.
Commissioned by the not-for-profit organisation Living Architecture, the barn is one of five homes scattered across England offering guests the chance to experience an extraordinary piece of contemporary design firsthand. Half of the 30-metre long house stretches out improbably over a bank, and yes, that’s a swing next to the aluminium windows in the overhanging section.
